Guest guest
In my quest to find anything to help my son with autism, I came across something startling -- Quaternium-15. This is what it is: Quaternium-15 is a preservative found in many cosmetics and industrial substances that releases formaldehyde. It can be found in numerous sources, including by not limited to: mascara, eyeliner, moisturizer, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, nail polish, personal lubricants, soaps, body wash, baby lotion or shampoo, facial cleanser, tanning oil, self-tanning cream, sunscreen, powder, shaving products, ointments, personal wipes or cleansers, wipes, paper, inks, paints, polishes, waxes and industrial lubricants. It can cause contact dermatitis, a symptom of an allergic reaction, especially in those with sensitive skin, on an infant's skin, or on sensitive areas such as the genitals. QUATERNIUM-15 Hazard Summary CAS Number: 4080-31-3 •Possible impurity: FORMALDEHYDE •Skin or sense organ toxicity hazards: suspected •Cardiovascular or blood toxicity hazards: suspected •Immunotoxicity hazards: suspected NOW, go take a look at these products in your home, especially the wash you are using on your kids. YIKES! I have found something BETTER! For fear of being kicked off for advertising, I won't go into details. After all, you can go search for something else without me telling you what I found! But if you do want to know what I have found, please email me off list, and I would love to give you the products name! Have a great day! PS. I do not sell these products. If you email me, I will only share info about the product. If you want to buy them, you order them from the company, not me!

Your message is more relevant to a group concerned with chemical sensitivities. This board is not about products for the home. If you wish to remain here because you are following the SCD Diet you are most welcome, but we frown on " fishing expeditions " even if they are just on behalf of friends. Just so you do not take this as nasty and personal, I am forwarding the info to the moderator of an SCD group that does duiscuss such topics. Carol F.
