FWIW, hydrocodn generally has the same effect on me. And, I know of no

physical or chemical reason for narcotic analgesics to have this effect. In

fact, it

should be just the other way around. Maybe others on this board can explain

this effect or perhaps know of a solution for it.

I have had the same reaction with Tramadol. Can't understand why!

Count me in too !!! I have always had the same effect with pain

meds, they actually make me more awake instead of making me sleepy.
