Jen,

I've heard that regression is rare, but I've also heard parents say that they see regression after the band comes off.

How old is ?

Can you move him from an infant car seat to a convertable? Most of those are still rear facing, but don't recline as much. In terms of sleep - is he on his side or tummy yet? Some babies naturally switch to these positions.

Does he spend other time on his back?

graduated....more worried than ever!

So, graduated today. He started at 10mm and now is at a 2...which I'm really excited about. I can see a huge difference in his head shape and his facial assymmetry, but both are still not perfect. I know I didn't expect perfection coming into it...I'm happy with the results, but also worried. He also has tort, so I worry that his plagio will return since his tort is still not resolved. And now I'm constantly watching his head shape, eyes, neck...which I thought I was over. I'm also starting to freak out about him being in his carseat and sleeping on his head again. I obsessed about his head and tort before the helmet and relaxed during his helmet therapy and now I'm starting to freak out about it again. Sorry if I'm rambling...anyone else have a similar experience? Oh, I'm also so worried he's going to really hurt his head b/c he's so used to banging his head around and not getting hurt!!

Hi,

I'll probably feel exactly the same way. I spend the whole time

has the helmet off every day obsessing over his head shape, worry he

will bang his head, and freaking out when he is on his back for a

diaper change. We never last the whole hour break since tries to

put his helmet back on early and we stick it on.

I hope with time the feelings will subside. My almost 5 year old

injured his tooth at 3.5 and it turned dark gray. Slowly over the next

year it turned back to almost its original color. I obsessed over the

tooth for months even after it improved and I still notice it, but I

now hardly think about it.

Jen, have you considered getting a little soft neck collar to hold your baby's head slightly away from the back of the carseat/buggy . http://www.babysecurity.co.uk/p/392428/jagabon-softeeze-baby-neck-support-pillow-pink.html  If anyone is in the UK, Ive got one of these in pink (in excellent condition) weve finished with , Id be happy to give away if anyone would like it.

Thanks for all your replies! Hopefully my worries will subside. We saw the dr

today and he prescribed a tot collar for him. Maybe that will help...he did say

his head looks great, though!

Kathy,

I just have to respond, because I've had the same experience. My

first son's tooth turned gray--almost black, really---and I could not

stop thinking about it for months. It slowly faded back to white.

Then my younger son had plagio and I became obsessed with his head

shape. He's been out of the Starband for four months, but I still

examine him constantly. His asymmetry was completely corrected, but

his CI is still kinda high at 86%, last measurement.

Here's the funny thing. My first son has since injured his OTHER

front tooth and had to have a baby root canal. He may

even need the tooth pulled (he's only 3.5!!!). But I am so obsessed

about 's head that I don't care. I hope I am not ignoring other

things going wrong with my kids.

But I don't think you should worry about regression. Kids don't get

flat heads from the occasional diaper change, ride in the carseat,

etc., especially once they're in the second year and not growing

so fast.
