Guest guest
Ok, since everyone is talking about embarrassing spills, I can't help but share this one. I took my kids to opening day for the movie Spiderman. It was so crowded that I told them to wait and hold the seats while I went and got popcorn. Well coming back into the theatre, in my hands was a tray of 3 jumbo pops and a jumbo tub of popcorn....and I tell you that I saw it before it happened. I fell, on my face! The theatre got real quiet and all you could hear was me saying " awww S@#$^ " . Everyone started laughing, my son came to my rescue, helped me up and I took a bow. Now I am sure that when the movie came out on video, people are saying " remember when we saw this at the theatre and that woman fell on the stairs! " So not only did I create a lasting memory for my children, but for the other 100+ people there! Cheers, e, the Queen of Clumsy
Guest guest
I have to ask, did you save the popcorn? At least your son came to help you. I do have to say that this subject has caused me to walk around snickering all day, I guess just reliving things. I know we are supposed to stay on the subject of cf. My bad. But, it is nice to remember the lighter times. Vondie clumsiness Ok, since everyone is talking about embarrassing spills, I can't help but share this one. Guest guest
Okay. I will tell you my most embarrassing fall as well. We were visiting the Capitol in DC and I had one picture left on my roll of film. I decide to run across the lawn and jump over a railing to cross the street to get a picture of the Supreme Court Building. Shortly after I began running my husband realized there was no way I was going to safely jump the railing and he starts chasing after me. I jump the railing and land on my back on the sidewalk as my camera skids across the concrete. A busload of Asian tourists were leaving their bus and were kind enough to come over and check on me. I was such a jerk to them. I was so mad at myself for tripping over the railing that I snapped at them, " I am fine! " , grabbed my camera, took the picture and left. I have often wondered what they must of thought of my American hospitality. My husband was worried about me falling and mad that I was so rude to the nice tourists. It was not a fun subway ride back to the hotel. Only in America! Sara > > Ok, since everyone is talking about embarrassing spills, I can't > help but share this one. Guest guest
OK here's one of my clumsy stories: I was babysitting my sister's 3 children At her house and I had with me. She and my nephew were both just under 3 at the time. My almost 12 year old niece and her friend were there as well as my 5 year old niece. So the 6 of us decided to walk to the store so the kids could get a treat. The 2 little kids in a wagon with us pulling. Well I had just recently lost a good bit of weight and was feeling snazzy. So I wore my new jeans and my new clunky high heeled boots to my sister's house and I didn't think anything about walking the 6 blocks to the store and back in my clunky high heeled boots. Well as we were walking along the tree lined street of the town 1/2 block away from the store, my clunky heel caught on a bit of very uneven sidewalk and down I went with a " Sh!t " and an ankle that I could tell was swelling even before I hit the sidewalk. The kids were in a shocked sort of silence at first, but when they saw I was ok they laughed a bit. So I hopped the rest of the way to the store, had the kids go get their treats and then I hopped the 6 blocks home. (naturally I had left my cell phone at my sister's house!) there was no way I was getting in the wagon, they never would have been able to pull me home. Once back at my sister's house we called my dad and hubby to get me to the ER and watch the kiddos. I had a severely sprained ankle and was on crutches for 6 weeks. Needles to say I haven't put those shoes on since!!! Re: clumsiness Okay. I will tell you my most embarrassing fall as well.
