Dear Susieque: I know exactly how you are feeling; in fact, I think most of us

know. Handling the stress that comes with trying to bring this all into control

can be a real challenge. The problem is that the condition causes a lot of

stress and the stress worsens the condition. It's almost a catch 22 situation.

Try talking to your doctor about the stress, because there are things you can

take that will help you deal with it emotionally. I'm not at all shy about

admitting I have to take something now and then to help me out. Stress really

is your enemy. Different people have different way of coping with it, and you

have to figure out what will work for you. Hang in there, and stay with us.

Love, Dagny

  • 6 months later...

Yes , Stress plays a big part in RP. In 1999 my mom died, my dog died, my pastor left and my dr left and a month later I had a major flare. LOL I can feel a flare coming on if there is stress in my life. ( more than usual) LOL Think it would be a good idea to see Dr T and get things checked out.

How are you doing otherwise? It is always so good to hear from you. Hope things get better for you. YOu know we are here if you need to vent. You know that whining is acceptable here. LOL

Sending lots of hugs and love

, Thank you so much for your input. While I do realize that stress is a part of everyday life, it just seems like the past two months of stress just "came to a head" in this past week. I've also noticed today that a few times during the day my heart would start racing and I couldn't catch my breath. (that worries me) Luckily I am off to my PCP tomorrow morning to get my flu shot so I will run it by him then.

but as usual ANY input from the board is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for listening,

stay well.

, this would happen to me too. It turned out to be caused by stress too. My heart rate has always been fast, but that's a different thing all together. When I am really stressed, my heart just races and I can't get my breathe either. I'm glad you are going to your PCP. ASK him all the questions you need.. YOu deserve sme answers.

Hugs
