New to group: Daughter going to be getting a helmet

My daughter is almost 6 months and we have an appoitment on Friday to see about

getting a helmet. I wish we could of done this soon but the doc wanted to try

reposionting 2 months ago and it hasnt helped. I only waited a month and it

wasnt making a difference so started with all the appoitments to get things

going and its taking another month. I am hoping we can get a band asap because

I want to just get the healing started with already. I am scare though, I have

seen some casting pics and am scared to death to put her through that! She

hates things on her head that are snug and screams until I take it off, so I

dont know how we are going to do this! She also is a great sleeper and I am so

afraid that this is going to effect that. My husband is active duty air force

and tricare wont cover it so we have to pay out of pocket which is going to be

hard but I know she needs this so we will figure something out. If anyone is in

Anchorage area, I would love to meet other moms going through this. My husband

is so busy with working that I feel like I am going through this alone and I

need support cause I am so worried about my poor little baby.
