Guest guest
Patty, I am so sorry for laughing, but I was picturing your scooter incident and ended up snickering a little. (Laughing with you - not at you )))) I have one better, try walking out to get the mail. Its in the a.m. so of course I have the big robe and house shoes (funny picture in itself) . My yard goes downhill, snowy (am I painting a vivid enough picture for you?) I hit ice and the rest is history. Slid right out into the drive with my robe everywhere besides where it was supposed to be. Yup, my kids thought it was really funny - Mom laying in the driveway showing everyone her drawers. lol (of course, I tried to jump up and compose myself which was even funnier, considering one of my houseshoes landed across the yard) Too funny. And like you the next day I felt it. Hey, but 10 years from now, that will be the kids favorite stories to tell. Oh, and your not getting old if you can still laugh about it Vondie Re: new to this Hi,(i didn't see your name ) My son also has delta f508, but i cant rmember if its twin or with something else.To be honest, they never told me, I asked(probably so I'd have something else to dwell on,lol). They said everyone is so unique that the mutation would not really be indicative of how his health will be.Maybe they told me that because they thought he had the worst, I dunno!Oh well, so far his health has been pretty good, and he's almost 9.Just had his 1st iv treatment, and got gallbladder out, pretty good for 9 yrs, eh?Its funny, cuz i tried to call cf nurse yesterday(gone for holiday til 2nd of Jan), to find out what his mutation is.I have heard it said that your childs mutations are mild, but in this book I read that you may not w/ R117 be facing the GI problems such as one like my son does. Sorry I'm babbling, I just woke up.I fell off my 3 yr olds scooter yesterday, feel like 100 yrs old(Kids couldnt POSSIBLY take me serious now, I had to look so funny airborne, than rolling thru street when i fell, hee hee! LOLOLOL)...still hurts to laugh, OMG I'm getting old I think. Any ways, glad we have one more person to talk to on this group, hope to hear more about you later. Guest guest
Hey! When you can survive a scooter spill and an ice exposure without broken bones or ending up in the hospital it is truly a miracle and you both must be younger than I am because if either one of these things happened to me I would be in traction. Plus they would have to call a tow truck to get me up. That in itself would be hilarious. Tina W. Guest guest
Tina, Actually, I am surprised I didnt need the aid of a tow truck to get up. I guess you would have had to see how many times I tried and fell again. lol Cant be to non chalant about it when you cant get back to your feet. I am laughing my butt off. Hey, laughter is good medicine. (I hope me admitting to everyone something totally embarrassing makes someone feel better today!) hahahaha But I have to ask, Patty did your kids help you? Come to think of it mine didnt. They just stood in the window and laughed. What does that say? Guest guest
You know, I think maybe I should start a book of memories (especially funny ones). Like the time my boys decided to make the linolium really slick for their remote control cars. They slicked it up with dish soap and water. Didnt tell me, I walked in and guess what happened after that. Got lots of funnies. It would be funny to give them when they are older.
