I'm afraid I don't exactly know what causes the weakness. Sadly, I

think the doctors probably don't know either. My guess is that we

all have certain similar symptoms in common (abdominal pain, gas,

diarrhoea at times etc. etc.) but that they are a little differently

perceived or experienced by everyone. I'm sure that this strenge

weakness is part of the syndrome of symptoms. I haven't even

mentioned it to my doctor. If it doesn't quite fit the classic, well-

known picture, they'd probably ignore it anyway.....or they

themselves would probably think it was a variation on the pancreatic

theme, as I do!

However, I wouldn't put you off mentioning it. For one thing, it may

be worse for some people than others and, for another, it might be

indicative of something different going on which you should get

checked out. It's just that, for me, it's always been part of the

scene so I accept it ( " accept " ????!!!! well, I haven't much choice!)

as part of the disease.

Hope you get some more satisfactory answers.
