Guest guest
Hi guys: Well, I was and have been hoping that I wouldn't have to be writing..and of course it's for selfish reasons although I do sincerely hope you are all having pain free days. The reason I'm writing is that I have questions for you all and am hoping to get some answers. The doctors are either completely at a loss around here or are just not treating the WHOLE PERSON anymore!!! I had my gall bladder removed approx. 2.5 months ago (it started out with a pancreatic attack -- not as horrendous as some of what you all have been thru but enough that the enzymes were elevated substantially). And when the GB was removed they never saw any stones or anything and there explanation was that it just wasn't functioning anymore (I'm beginning to have my doubts about that at this point.) Ever since the GB surgery I have had escalating rib pain (BURNING) and nausea and rectal pressure. I keep getting bounced around and around from doctor to doctor.....at first I thought it was just my insides recovering from the surgery, but it is now so bad that I'm on Darvocet and anti nausea (Phenergan) meds. It was at first only happening 2-3 times a week and I would feel relatively normal between bouts. Now it is EVERYDAY!!! I'm in constant agony and I don't know where to turn. I just called the gastro doc to see if I could get in and of course no appointment for a couple of days. I've had MRIs/HIDA scan to see if bile ducts were leaking (negative), MRI of the spine for nerve damage (MRI was only done of the spine from bra level to tail bone but that was negative as well.) Has anybody ever experienced any of this? What in the world is going on? The doctors seem totally perplexed. PLEASE HELP ME!!! thanks
