Guest guest
Hello Sonja, I was amused by Poncho's suggestion and the other ideas for dealing with this one! Seriously though, the enzymes can make a tremendous difference to this aspect of the disease. I have been prescribed high doses of Creon by my panc specialist and the problem has almost disappeared. I combine this with a low fat diet (no fried foods, butter, etc. etc.) and no alcohol, of course. This regime seems to be helping a lot. I do realise that every case is different and the disease goes through different stages anyway. I now have end-stage CP with my pancreas having lost virtually all its exocrine function and about to lose its endocrine one as well. However, I thought it was worth mentioning again that many people do find that enzymes make a big difference to the symptoms of malabsorption like wind, bloating etc. Hope you find something to help and that your new doctors can help you. With good wishes, Fliss
