Guest guest
Thank you. I think she may have some tort as she definitely favors that one flat side. She has an apt with her doctor today and he'll refer us on. Unfortunately, I live in very rural North Dakota, so have to travel everywhere for everything, and it's winter! I hope to find out today what our options are. Thanks for your experienced eye:) Bekah -- Re: Photo help Hi Bekah,I looked at Georgia. She is a cute girl :-) However she does have anirregularly shaped head, and some facial asymmetry. Do you know if shehas torticollis? Tort is when one side of the neck has tightermuscles, so the baby tends to tilt, favor one side, etc. This can be abig contributor to plagio and facial asymmetry. Physical Therapy isneeded to resolve tort. I also think she would benefit from a band. I notice the problem mostin her forehead area, when looking from the top. And from the sideview her head if pretty flat at the back and she has some extra volumeat the top (vs. rounding above the neck). You should be able to getgood correction with a band. Do you know what the local options forbanding are? My daughter wore a starband from a very experiencedortho. Some people choose to travel to cranial tech for a docband. There are also other options. You should make sure that whomever youchoose to work with has good experience in banding babies since thatis key to getting good results.-christinesydney, almost 3 yrs, starband grad .. Guest guest
I actually have an apt with Heidi Goldstein on Jan 9th! I'm so glad that is the right Dr to see. So will the Dr refer me on to the rehab center if needed? Or do I contact them as well? Thank you! -- Re: Photo help Hi Bekah,I looked at Georgia.
