Guest guest
Hi Deana- I know of some whose blood pressure went up and then came down after a few more months. Some people were put on meds but were monitored constantly. I would go to a specialist and check this out. Ellen(Pam
Guest guest
> Hi Deana- I know of some whose blood pressure went up and then came down Dr Welker says he does blood pressure this way: He takes your age and then adds 100 to it....and considers that for the most part to be normal, expecially if it seems a little high and does not waver for months..... Guest guest
I am wondering if they were using the correct size cuff on you preop and now the size of your arm is different? My other concern--is what have your kidneys been like? Could you have stones? The kidneys produce a hormone that regulates blood pressure--you may need some blood work for that. The next step would be cardiac workup. Your BP isn't in the " High " range--but it is really a big change for you. You would want to make sure there isn't anything else going on. Just off the cuff answear!! Hope this helps. Pammi
Guest guest
My blood pressure is always on the low side (or at least that is what I have been told)even with chronic pain. (100/70) But then last acute pancreatitis attack when I was admitted into the hospital it was 190/110. My blood pressure always returns to " normal " but it seems to take longer each time... at first(3 to 4 years ago) it was hours, now I am looking at least a week of high numbers. Do you suppose that although you haven't had an acute attack in 8 months, you have chronic pain that you have just learned to live with, and it is enough to keep your pressures up? Just wondering out loud for you. Not only is it terrible to have this problem, there are so many things that the medical people just don't know. I have learned so much from this group. Thank goodness for such a wonderful support group! Suzi > My blood pressure used to always be around the normal levels, never > a problem being too low or too high.
