Guest guest
I remember us talking about hormones possibly being a shared denominator of many of us. The following excerpt is from Relapsing Polychondritis on emedicine, Authored by Karin I Harp, MD, Staff Physician, Department of Internal Medicine, Providence St Medical Center of Portland Coauthored by J Raugi, MD, PhD, Chief, Veterans Administration Medical Center of Seattle; Program Director, Associate Professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Dermatology, University of Washington at Seattle " Two intriguing case reports suggest that hormonal influences may be of importance in RP. A man developed RP after receiving an injection of luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone, and a woman with arthritis mutilans had a sudden exacerbation of her condition and new onset of atrophy of the auricular cartilage, nasal septum, weight loss, and deafness after receiving an injection of chorionic gonadotropin. " Just an interesting note. M
