This is good to know.... what a relief for you! Great that he is feeding

himself, too. :)

Do keep in mind that goat's milk must be made into SCD yogurt to stay " legal " on

this diet.

I am wishing you many more happy days ahead.

(day 10 of scd) my 2 1/2 yr old son finally broke down

and ate.......

cole finally broke down and ate. the major breakthrough was last

nite. it was day 9 of the scd. i am sure he broke the record for the

longest strike. i thought he might refuse for 4 or 5 days but i

never dreamed he could hold out 9 days to voluntarily eat 1 full

meal on his own. once he started eating the pureed pears with

chicken broth he kept begging for more. he used a variety of spoons

to eat and for the first time he did all the feeding himself without

any help from us. he was starving. i hid acorn squash in the fruit

puree later and he didn't notice. he must have eaten 2 pears worth.

so this was his 1st real warm meal made from real food (not baby jar

food) and he fed himself.

today (day 10) was even more exciting. our new magic bullet blender

was whirring all day!! not only did my son feed himself it took him

no time to start digging in. he enjoyed the fruit leather candy and

had 3 solid warm pureed meals. we also introduced pureed apples,

real chicken pieces pureed, goats milk and fresh squeezed oj. he was

alert and actually was glad to see the next door neighbor and was

quite animated. she said she hasn't remembered him being that happy

to see her in over a year. the 7 day fast is finally over. i thought

we were going to have to hook him up to iv's in the hospital if this

went on any longer. i don't want to bombard him with too many new

things in case he reacts bad to any of them.
