Hi -

How are you feeling? I am sorry I haven't gotten back to our posts of

supplements and such. To be honest I had totally forgot about it until I was

searching the forums. Did you get a chance to read that e-book from Dr. Kelley?

What did you think? I don't think I mentioned that it was published by Cancer

Coalition for Alternative Therapies. I can't remember if you wanted to know all

I take, but I will put it here it case you did. I don't know about you, but

since all of this with cp started I have a terrible time remembering! I don't

know if it has been the frequent surgeries (7 in one month and had 4 more since)

or the pain med side effects or just the stress of being ill. That e-book and

all my research with how your body works, the supplements, and experience has

led to me these. I haven't been doing this for more than 6 months or anything

so I don't know how relevant it would be, but I notice a difference in the pain

and my overall health. Before I just felt terrible and in pain, like I was

deathly ill almost, but now I just have pain. If you remember I was having a

doc check out Dr. Kelley's program because some things I felt uncomforable with.

He is still researching information, but I did take some of it along with other

research I've done with cp, and the JAMA recommendations and this is what I

take: There is so much positive research with antioxidants and cp that I highly

would recommend. The antioxidants I take are Parselenium E, Multi-Carotene and

Bio C; and also I take: Omega 3, Calcium Magnesium, Fruits & Vegies, CoQ 10, and

I take a Hair, Skin, and Nails complex because it contains Grape Seed extract,

which there is postive research especially for cp on this one too. I highly

stress you do your research on the brand of vitamins you take. My husband has

had much training on supplements due to his business, but also we have a friend

who worked at a company that supplied vitamins to doctors to give to patients.

She finally quit because she couldn't morally work there anymore. They were

trained to supply information to doctors and patients that wasn't true, like

where they received their vitamins. It was actually shipped from overseas and

they didn't really know what was in them, but they had a script they read from

to sell them. She didn't find out until she became an assistant to the main

corp. You can use www.consumerlab.com<http://www.consumerlab.com/> and

www.nsf.org<http://www.nsf.org/> to get information, but also don't be afraid to

ask the company ?'s such as where they grow their vitamins, what do they use for

pesticides, how long from harvest to supplement, and do they do any testing

after they manufacture to make sure of the potency and accuracy of their

manufacturing. A lot of companies, including cosmetics, buy their ingredients

from other manufactures, which leads to many other problems. I think if we are

going to ingest something into our bodies it should have the same rigorous

testing as prescriptions to make sure your not just eating plastic or

something!! Oh I also take a natural digestive enzyme to help with bloating and

digestion. If you have any other ?'s I will try to get back to you way sooner!

So sorry about that. Wishing you a day of blessings! Angie B
