Guest guest
Hi, thanks for writing. I am currently taking demerol w/phenergan 50mg every 4-6 hours. I was trying to take oxycotin 20mg for breakthrough pain but I absolutely don't like the stuff. First off, it makes me itch all over and makes me feel even more nauseous and then the next day I feel very " down in the dumps " . I also feel like it clouds my head too much, and I can't think clearly. I don't get those side effects from the demerol so it works nice for me. I have heard about the fentyl patches and I'm going to mention them to my family pc when I see him next week. Do you feel like you have to take anti-nausau meds while on the pain patch? Do you feel like the pain patch works better than pain pills? I always have to take anti nausau meds with any pain medication or I get sick to my stomach. I was considering looking up a pain management clinic in nashville (about 1 hour from home) and seeing if they have any CP patients. I just want to make sure that I have a back up plan if my curent relationship with my family pc ever falls through. But right now, he is trying hard to understand me and seems genuine with his care. I don't feel any need to leave his practice. He tries to study up on SOD and other pancreas related topics. I hope you feel wonderful with the pain patches. Let me know how they work as compared to pain pills. Thanks Take care Kris in TN
Guest guest
Hi, I wanted to reply because my doc just put me on 20mg of oxycotin and It said to take it 3 time s a day. Well I had to be put in the hospital cause my pain doc injection in my spine gave me a spinal headach and spine pain. When I was at the hospital they told me you were supose to take oxycotin every 12 hrs.. So my doc uped the oxy to 60mg every 12 hours the same time every day. I really didn't want the drug cause I heard it is the worst drug very strong and very addited. Well I am on it I dont feel anything by it. I haven't had any pc pain but I was having severe attacks thats why the spinal injection to try to stop the pain cycle. so I dont know much about the drug but when I took it at home before I knew that I took 20mg and the pain was better for only about One hour. I am glad to be home. I don't know if I will ever get cured or better from pc I even have a morphine pump inside of me and the doc told me the tube fell off this is the second time. So I am not connected to it now. don't know if I will again or what. Lucy
