" It is always an anxiety provoking event when I am facing the first appointment with a new doctor, particularly a pain doctor. I applaud your positive attitude. There is definite validity in visualizing your desired outcome, such as " some better days'. Were you referred to this doctor or did you choose? I have started doing an internet search on the doctors I see. I am surprised how much information is brought up. It's been helpful to know what focus their research is taking and read articles they have recently published. Often times I can discern their treatment philosophy regarding particular meds, etc. That can alleviate any concerns I may have about how my own regimen. At any rate I wanted to let you know I also plan on your visit working out well for many days to come. Be sure and send in the contact information if the doctor would warrant a spot in the database :-) Karyn E. , RN Executive Director, PAI http://www.pancassociation.org Pancreatitis Association International
