Guest guest
I like your idea for your at home business. at least until you can have enough different sizes made up . Get a hospital to take so many on consignment in their gift shop or on line selling. Check that out . Good luck LOVE & HUGS, grandmomBEV IV friendly gown Ok you guys, I need some advise/input/whatever..I have designed a new gown that is IV friendly. My son was in the hospital back in Oct. and I found the gown he had useless. Because of the IV, he always woke up with a wet gown and I had to wait for the nurse to come and help me unhook the IV to get the gown off. Anyway, so I have designed and made an IV friendly gown. I have called various hospitals in my area and inquired about who I should talk to in order to get my idea off the ground. Patenting it, I've been told is not really worth it. Any " fashion " item can be changed by just one hem or seam and then someone else can patent it. The linen companies have been the supplier for the hospitals for years. If the demand for these gown is there, they will make them for them. So now I wonder if I should just make them myself and sell them privately to any parent that would like one. So, That's where you guys come in. Have any of you experienced this problem with the gown? If you would like me to make you one for your child, I can take orders via email. I need to know your child's age and size. I can also make preemie gowns. The gowns will start at $12.95 plus tax. Shipping will be on top of that. A part of proceeds will be donated to the CCFF. (Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation) I am open for business so to speak, so let me know if any of you are interested k? Guest guest
Cheryl, I have to say that I like your idea, because I had the same one! I designed jammies and a gown for because we were having the same problem with wet gowns and also throwing up on them and/or getting poop on them when the Antibiotics were causing diarrhea! Unfortunately, I am not a great seamstress and having the one near me do just the one pair of jammies was cost prohibitive, She charged me $60 to do just the one pair. I did make my own too but they looked pretty funny since I had to hand sew them and one leg ended up longer than the other........( don't ask me how, I still haven't figured that one out yet) Good luck with it!!! I also looked into the patent thing but found out that it was pretty much pointless. IV friendly gown Ok you guys, I need some advise/input/whatever..I have designed a new gown that is IV friendly. Guest guest
Zach just cultured PA again after one TOBI cycle so he maybe headed for club med soon. He is about your son's age, but I am sure much smaller. He just hit 23 lbs and is 32 inches tall. Let me know what other info you need. Thanks for doing this! Guest guest
Would you prefer Velcro or snaps? I have a few different prints for you to choose: dinosaurs, snow penguins or Winnie the Pooh. Let me know and then I'll get started, it will only take me about a day to make. I am sorry that Zach cultured PA again. Give him a big hug from me. Cheers, Cheryl Re: IV friendly gown Zach just cultured PA again after one TOBI cycle so he maybe headed for club med soon. Guest guest
I prefer velco and Winnie the Pooh. Zach can say Pooh, so that would thrill him to pieces. The doctor is calling us Monday to discuss treatment options. My pediatrician's office called yesterday to discuss the culture. They have never called about Zach's results before so it freaked me out. They told me the results were E coli, PA and H flu and wanted to know what he had been prescribed. I thought they were talking about his October culture, but it was from the 8th. I called his clinic and they said we had to wait, so I am a little confused. I will hug Zach for you and many more. Thanks for doing this and let me know how and when you want me to pay you!! Sara > > Ok you guys, I need some advise/input/whatever..I have designed a > new > > gown that is IV friendly.
