Guest guest
I don't recall exactly how long the process took, but by the time the doctors sent confirmations, meetings took place with " Wish Granters " , and so on, it was probably a couple months from submission to WISH. Plus, received a lot of support from MAW about trying to go to Japan, but we finally agreed to his second option (the computer) when traveling to Japan turned out to be a huge hassle. The other fun part about the " WISH DAY " was not only the computer system, but the party for his family and friends, plus the other stuff the brought (lots of Toyota stuff). The local Toyota dealer owner also showed up. Plus WWAY-TV3 for the news part. I only regret we forgot to ask about having MAW fly Grandma Polly down here for the day too. And, gifts and opportunites to do things and go places continue to arrive from MAW, more than two years after 's wish. We have also stayed at a house on the Outer Banks for Christmas, gone to Carolina Hurricanes games, been invited to numerous other professional sporting events, guests of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels (invited to the USAF Thunderbirds also but couldn't miss school that day), and 1,000th wish gala events guests, and so on and so on. These people just keep on making memories for WISH families. When a " WISH GRANTER TEAM " to assigned to your child, the fun begins. Some of the best moments were listening to the Wish Granters discuss wish options with , and we )Mom & Dad) were only allowed to listen - it was his wish, not ours. How cool.
