Guest guest
Hey Cyndi! It's an absolutely beautiful day in Wilmington -- about 78 degrees, low humidity and plenty of sunshine. I should find out Monday when I go back to Duke. The scheduler is trying to get up with Dr. Baillie to see what he wants me to do. I needed a little break from all the doctors and tests anyway so I'm fine with the wait. The pain is still not too bad, but the nausea will not let up. Glad you're enjoying the day, Cyndi. Guest guest
Cyndi, Thank you so much for the hints. It's been 10 years since I had a puppy and I wasn't sick then, so this is hitting me hard. I had the puppy with me the first night and got little sleep because she was up almost every hour wanting to play or nibble on me. About 2:00 am was when I felt this attack coming on. I finally got some food in me this afternoon and feel about 60% better, but still tired as all get out, sore and achy and this darned headache is still here despite taking a migraine pill. Thought I'd take every precaution just in case. The pancreas pain is normal pain which is encouraging. I jumped on the scale this morning and have lost 3 pounds in 2 days with not eating and being dehydrated. Yes, we want the puppy to sleep with us but she has to learn to sleep through the night first as I just don't think I will fair well with the no sleep thing. I also suffer from hypothyroidism, like many other people on this board do, so sleep is crucial to well health and being. I do believe the stress from having her and not sleeping helped this attack materialize, but we all know that an attack will happen come hell or high water, no matter what we do...if one is going to happen. Thanks for the hints and tips. Hopefully it won't be too long before she settles in and we are all sleeping and healthy individuals.
