Guest guest
Dear friends, As we know pancreas contains the pancreatic islets (islets of langerhans) which contain four types of hormone secretc cells: 1- Alpha cells: secret glucose 2- beta cells: secret insuline 3- delta cells: secret somatostatin 4- F-cells: secrete pancreatic poly peptide My question is there chemicals interfere with the function of these cells and cause damage to these cells. for example chronic alcohol consumption does it interfere in these cell function. also flouride and fluoride compounds do it interfere with the function of these cells. Also if any one comes across any other chemicals that effect insuline or any other enzymes in the pancreas. with lots of love to every one in this group. special thank goes to Mark E.
