Guest guest
My son, ph (5 months), just received his Doc Band on Thursday. Yesterday (Saturday) when he woke up I took the band off and he had areas that were wet that I thought was just sweat, except that it smelled really bad. I cleaned the band with the rubbing alcohol and the redness faded so I put him back in the band. I took it off again after another four hours and there was a lot of the wetness that was a yellowish color and the redness did not fade. It has not faded yet this morning (he didn't wear the band after 1:30pm yesterday). Its almost like he blistered in the area that band was against his head. He cried if I touch his head in the red spots-we've been putting hydrocortizone cream on it and it looks a little better. Has anyone had issues like this with the bands? What if he continues to break out when wearing the band-what does cranial tech do? Are there kids who can't wear the bands because of issues like this? Any advice would be appreciated!
