Guest guest
Oh my God! What the h*** is going on with my son? I know I mentioned earlier that he had this new " scream " but my God!!!! He is screaming in his crib NON-STOP, since bedtime. I took him out and let him sit in bed with me to watch TV, and he got a bit better. Then as soon as he went back into bed, the HORRIBLE screaming (really does HURT my ears) begins. I know this is not terrible 2/3 behaviors, as he has never done this before. Never! He also seems to feel pretty warm (maybe a mild fever?), and there is a rash in his " upper " groin area too that wasn't there before. I saw it at bedtime. I did give him the charcoal (still not sure if it is legal brand....can someone please answer that?) but didnt' seem to help at all. I only gave him plain turkey burger w/garlic for dinner and apple cider, just to be safe, so it shouldn't be the food, unless the carrots are still bothering him. He has had about 5 formed stools today, so they look ok too I think. I AM REALLY WORRIED ABOUT HIM, and dh is ready to take him to the ER. He seems to be in pain.....so please let me know what I should do!!!!!
Guest guest
OK, he has calmed down a bit for now....finally! I didn't think he would ever quit screaming. I have never heard him scream like that! My husband is losing it, BUT he finally is on board with something we are doing for Ben (many doubts about DAN docs, therapies, etc). I fly solo on most everything here, and do all the research, make the decisions on Ben, as my dh gets way too overloaded on it (as I am finding a lot of the daddys are). Any of you go through that too? Anyway, he does think this will be THE thing to bring Ben back to us. I pray he is right. ;-) Patti - I just got your email, so thanks! Ugh, what a horrible evening. I'm going to go soak my head! Gosh, I hope things are headed up from here! :-) oh, and I did pick up Candex from the store yesterday. WHen do I start it up? I also got the Scdophilus from GI Pro Health...I thought Elaine said to start no sooner than 5 days on the diet? Is that right? We started the enzymes yesterday (Kirkman DPP-IV one) with 1/2 tp 3/4 cap on his meals. DOes that sound right? Just want to make sure I am doing this right..... ;-) Thanks, In pecanbread , " v_parker7 " wrote: > > Oh my God! What the h*** is going on with my son? Guest guest
, Sorry you are going through a rough time right now. It is very scarey when our children scream and we don't know what is going on and whether or not to take them to the ER, etc. I am glad to hear he has calmed down. You might want to back off on the enzymes somewhat to an even smaller amount and work your way up from there. Make sure not to add more than one supplement at a time (give several days in between each addition) to make he can tolerate them. If you add too many new things at once, you won't know what might be causing a problem. Also, with each supplement start off with a small amount and gradually increase over a period of time to make sure he can tolerate it. In answer to another question you asked earlier (I am the one who said my twin boys still do not tolerate carrots very well but do fine with the butternut or acorn squash) I just cook my squash very well and then mash it. I don't always puree it in the blender as long as I can mash it up really well. Praying your son gets to feeling better soon.
