question baby doughnut pillow

I just want to inquire for next time. I know my baby has mild plagio.. and had

mild stiffness in his neck which subsided at 12 weeks but his flat head stayed

there even though we repositioned him actively. For next time around, would a

doughnut pillow they sell online for newborns help for a baby's head shape? Did

anybody use it and still had to get a helmet?
