Guest guest
Thank you so much for your answers About the banana and loosening-up stool, (sorry for details but I guess they are quite common on this page.. During the 4 days intro we saw formed stools which is NOT common here. After including banana (yes very ripe) slowly, stool has gone back to diarrea. I know it´s the banana because I recognize the parts of them, with a lot of small balls looking like they were covered with spiders with many legs, some strings from the fruit I guess. She´s not very intensly chewing...I think about convincing her to mash it and it might be more completely taken up. We would be sorry in this moment to take the banana off. What do you think? Should the juice be diluted 50% all through the diet or just during the intro? When is it possible to start with honey, and with coconut milk? The last, does it go under nut milk stage 2, although its not a nut? regards from Lotta, Sweden (thats why spelling is...) family SCD 1 week incl intro. daughter asd
Guest guest
Scd protocall does state that juice should be diluted for at least one month after beginning the diet. We are still diluting six months into scd because our son gets loose stools from full strength juice. The spider like look to the stools could be dead yeast and bacterial colonies. I think it would be a good idea to mash the banana if you can get your child to eat it like that. Try that, and see if it helps firm up the stools. If it keeps up, maybe a moderator can make a suggestion.
