Guest guest
Dear All, Today is my first day making the goat yogurt. I realized about 12 hours into it that I was supposed to keep the lids OFF the jars in the yogurt maker. As a result, I took the lids off the jars about half way into the process--this is the yogurt maker from the GI website. Do you think the yogurt will still be okay? Should I keep it going longer than the 24 hours to make up for lost time (or would this ruin it)? Hopefully the whole thing isn't ruined! Thanks, Audrey Mother to Liam ASD 2.8 y.o. Guest guest
I would. Sorry.... but really it does become perishable once you stop fermenting. It really does need to be fridged. patti goat yogurt we forgot to refrigerate the goat yogurt for 12 hrs after we turned off the yogurt maker. should we discard it?
