Guest guest
Hi , I am one of your littermates on 10/04. I was just writing the same thoughts in my journal today. I see this as an opportunity to start a healthier lifestyle. The MGB is a very powerful tool to use in this journey, but I also plan to use the tools of healthier eating and physical activity. To me the surgery is just the first part of the journey. I will still have some work to do to get to my goal of a better quality of life. - waiting in Chicago " Unsubscribing " > For all of those who say they are unsubscribing for vacation, etc. I > believe there is an easier way - at least easier for me. Guest guest
For all of those who say they are unsubscribing for vacation, etc. I believe there is an easier way - at least easier for me. I simply change the method of retrieval from individual or digest to web only. That way, whenever I am back and available I can selectively view the e.mails or view them all individually, my choice. It has worked for me in the past. Also, on a more personal note, I have thought all day about those of you having surgery today. This was my " date of choice " but instead I am scheduled for 10/04/00 which was my second choice. Even with all the " stuff " going on in the last few weeks I am sure I am making a good decision for me. However, let me tell you how I approach this entire process. I personally do not see the surgery as the infamous " magic pill " that I think most of us have been looking for our entire lives. Instead I see it as a tool to help me lose the weight and keep it off. But, like most tools it will need some help from me. I believe my job will be learning to love (hopefully) exercise and barring that at least tolerating it on a regular basis because I will see its benefits. Equally importantly I believe will be learning how to eat properly. I know that technically I shouldn't have to watch my food intake but I think we all know people who have had other forms of surgery who are now heavy again. There are ways around everything after all. I personally intend to stay with Weight Watchers Inner Circle, a group I have been in for three years. I have the wholehearted support of my leader who I have known for 6 years. I plan on monitoring my food intake so that I never stray from a healthy path ever again - well at least no long strays! I don't want to ever have to lose this weight again and I don't intend to! Like I said, my plan may not be for everybody but I think it is what I will have to do to lose the weight and keep it off permanently. on Surgery date 10/04/00 BMI
