Guest guest
He he, I don't have to worry about that under weight thing. I was a, well still am a fat Celiac. Thanks for the reply. I am going to see if I can pick up some goats milk Thursday and try a batch. My husband loved the cow milk yogurt I made from the half and half and apparently the little piggy didn't have any problems with it. Cow's milk usually causes him problems but not the yogurt. Re: Carol or others a ? about goat milk yogurt > Hi Brebda in Kansas, Guess what? I use 2% goat's milk not full fat and I get acceptable thickish yogurt. Levin throrized that I may be tolerating the 2% better because with less fat globules there are fewer antigens. It makes sense. I started the diet with cow yogurt but tolerated it intermittently. Since switching from whole goat's milk to the 2% I tolerate it all the time. This might not be advisible for someone who is underweight but Elaine states in the book that skim and partly skimmed milk can be used as well as various thickness of cream with no additives.
