Guest guest
- Your kind words have helped me gain confidence. I leave in less than 48 hours for my sphrincteronomy and stenting. I know this is my only choice right now, and I have had good luck with 11 months of being pain-free and no attacks - from Dec 2002 - Oct 2003. I wish I lived closer so I could have the multiple stenting done every month or so, but since I live in AZ, I have to be satisfied to have " agressive " stenting done once a year or so. I, too, wish there could be a more " permanent " stent. I, too, ask Dr. Lehman about it and also about a cure every time i see him. I suppose he gets tired of me asking, but my prayer is that some day I will ask, and he will say, YES, there is a cure (and still keep the panc). I pray that day comes before my panc burns out, since all I really need is a NEW papilla to take the place of the defective minor papilla. It seems so simple to me.. get a pig's papilla and transplant it like they transplant pig's valves in the heart! Dr. Lehman just looks at me when I suggest it, but some of the most beneficial advancements in science have been when people think " out of the box " and I definitely am an " out-of-the-box " thinker!!! Which, can be a curse at times when most of the world wouldn't dare step out of the box!!! Ha ha... Cecilia Mesa, AZ
