Hi!

The legal additives list shows " Magnesium stearate " . Is " vegetable

Stearate " the same thing?

Also is Candex " Yeast Management System " ,legal?

My son follows the diet very strictly but he also takes (via our DAN

doctor's advice) the following probiotics which are illegal --

" Cultrelle " and " Probiotic Support Formula " from New Beginnings

(which I believe is illegal). He has been on SCD for five months

now. He started out very well (first two months)and then things have

gone down hill since. We started the probiotics at about 6 weeks

into the diet. So now I'm thinking about going against the doctor's

advice and stop the " Cultrelle " and " Probiotic Support Formula " and

go with the Kirkman " Lactobacillus Acidophilus " . I'm also the same

person whose DAN doctor advised the VSL3 to replace the " Probiotic

Support Formula " . My doctor is all for the SCD diet though.

He also takes " Inositol Powder " from New Beginnings -- does anyone

know if it is legal?

He also takes: Selenium Liquid, Zinc, Chelate Mate, Allicillin Liquid

(from Garlic), Basic Nutrients Plus from New Beginnings, MCT Liquid,

and Grape Fruit seed extract, and B-12 shots every 3 days.

He is 10 years old and has become increasingly more self abusive

since about age 5. He now slams his body into the ground, hits his

head with his hands extremely hard & head bangs against whatever is a

hard surface. The first two months of diet the self abusive behavior

significantly reduced but now it is worse than ever. I don't want to

give up on the diet so I'm sticking with it. Appreciate advice.

Thanks,

Maureen
