Great Day Ruined!!!!

Hi Everyone,

Today I went to the Western NC Support meeting in Hickory. I had such a

great time and did so enjoy listening to the stories and having lunch with

everyone!!!! I came home and was so hyper telling my husband about how great

it was (poor man couldn't get a word in edge wise) and how I couldn't wait

until the next one. I noticed he had put the mail on the table so I started

going thru it and saw that there was a letter from United HealthCare to me. I

had a feeling what might be in it and I didn't want to open it in front of

Jim (hubby) so I told him I was going to go change I'd be right back because

I didn't want him to see me get upset if it said what I thought it might,

sooooo I guess by now you know what it said: DENIED and also preceded to tell

me that there decision was final and that if I wanted to pursue anything

further that I would have to do it thru the NC Dept. of Insurance, that won't

work for me, I pulled them up and because our insurance is self funded thru

my husbands employer the state insurance commission has no legal recourse if

I understood it right. Needless to say those & *^ & %$$ & & ruined what had been a

wonderful day for me!!!!! I will self pay it will just take me a little

longer to get it done!!!

On a brighter note, to all I met today in Hickory it was wonderful. It was so

nice to put faces with names. I'm not very comfortable in large groups of

people. I guess it comes from always being ashamed to go anywhere to

interact, but all of you made me feel welcome. Betty you are a very special

woman and I want to thank you for how sweet you were to me and funny. When

you get that job at Biltmore let me know, I love going there and I love

horses and we'll ride!!!!! Also to Blair, Thanks for putting everything

together it was great!!!!!
