Welcome Lacy. We wish you evry success on SCD.

I am assuming you are an adult on the diet

You will want to start on the Introductory Diet outlined both in " Breaking the

Vicous Cycle "

and on the two websites mentioned on your welcome message. There is a table of

suggested progress with food here:

http://www.pecanbread.com/foodprep.html

It is not mandatory or written into the diet but was created with the input of

parents on

this list based on foods their children tolerated and in what order. You are

not bound by

it. Certain foods are defintiely only for the advanced.

It is important to read the book and study the websites as many questions that

will spring

to mind are answered there.

If you have no bowel symptoms ( no constipation?) you could start with

the intro for 2-3 days and add foods after that as long as you

continue to have no bowel symptoms.

The chart at this link gives a guidline of what order many find they

best tolerate foods.

As you start the diet you may experience some die off symptoms (rashes

fatigue etc. more info at pecanbread.com ) if so wait for this to

subside before adding to many new foods.
