Guest guest
Due to circumstances I had to eat dinner twice this week at a local restaurant. I wanted to eat light and had the seafood mixed grill. All mild fishes (salmon, snapper, tuna) and a tiny lobster tail. The problem, and I had a feeling about this, was the garlicky seasoning. It was almost like a steak seasoning. Naturally I asked for " no seasoning " just a side of lemon, but it came seasoned anyway. I'm sorry I ate this because I have a feeling the garlic seasoning wasn't legal. It's hard to trust a lot of those kitchens, because they're used to grabbing those shakers on all orders. I even looked at the steak seasoning I used to use...first ingredient is SUGAR. Who knew??? Best wishes, Ronnie SCD 3 months IBS

Elaine is often quoted on her comment that " fanatical adherance " is required. I don't know how this can be stated any more emphatically! Carol F. Guest guest
" I wanted to eat light and had the seafood mixed grill. All mild fishes (salmon, snapper, tuna) and a tiny lobster tail. " The big concern that I would have with a seafood mix is that things like " crab " meat is often imitation crab (white fish, wheat flour and other things). I think the safest thing to order in a restaurant is a steak that has not been marinated and ask for it to be cooked in a skillet, not on the grill. But unless you watch the food being prepared, there is never any way to be 100% certain that it will be okay for SCD.
