I don't know if you noticed, but the squash buttons are a hit! Someone else asked yesterday if it can be done with beet. I cooked a beet and peeled it and mixed with cooked pear and pureed all of that and made " Beet Buttons " My boys liked it also. So, yes, you can do it with beet.
