Guest guest
I WOULD LIKE TO GET THE ONE ENTITLED " A CF LIFE-COLLEGE & CAREER CHOICES FOR CF ADULTS " . PLEASE SEND THIS TO MY DAUGHTER AT: STEPHANIE WOOSLEY, 6274 NE RISING SUN DRIVE, DES MOINES, IA 50327. THANK YOU SO MUCH. TINA W., MOTHER OF STEPHANIE, 18 YO IN ONE WEEK & 2DAYS WCF [CYSTIC-L] diaphram breathing About 15 years ago I attended the National CF Conference - back when they weren't mental about cf'ers going to the conference. There was a dr there from Swedin, who was teaching Autogenic Drainage. The first step to doing AD correctly was to learn good diaphram breathing. I had a hard time learning that, so he got a belt and put it around my chest. He'd have me take a breath in, and then he'd tighten the belt. Eventually the belt got so tight that my chest couldn't expand, but I was forced to breathe using my diaphram. Ever since then my health has improved and I think it's because I've learned a more efficiant way to breathe - it also helps me cough up deep down junk. Just wondering - what's up with the Foundation not allowing patients to attend the National Conference's now? I guess I'm just paranoid, but it makes me think they are keeping things from us. Guest guest
Could not agree more; I use active cycle of breathing and autogenic drainage and PEP and Acapella exclusively, for what that sample of one is worth! Thank you for the tape list!
