Guest guest
Hi everybody This is the first time I post on this list. I am starting the diet for my 2 years girl my questions are: - do I stop all the supplement during the intro diet? - The chicken soup recipe listed in the SCD website has carrots and chicken, does this mean that she can eat pureed carrots as much as she wants, and chicken as much as she want? - The cooking time has to be 4 hours to make the food easier to digest? and if so what about the beef patty? can feed her lamb? - can I substitute the yogurt with nut milk yogurt, nut milk is listed on stage 2 on " pecanbread " website so will I have to postpone it? - If I give her scambled eggs, what is the best king of oil to use? thank you! Guest guest
She can have as much of the food listed on the intro diet as she wants, and drink for that matter. Yes, you could use lamb instead of beef. I'm not sure about the nut milk question, but someone will answer that. You could use coconut oil, olive oil, or even a bit of butter(if you are using dairy) for the scrambled eggs. Personally, I use a non-stick skillet to make eggs, and so I don't use any oil. Guest guest
Well, grape jelly is not allowed, but if you meant grape jello then yes, he can have as much as he wants. I would steer clear of the honey just for the intro. Some people do stop all of their supplements while on the intro, but we didn't. We had no problems with that. At the time that we started scd, iel was taking a fish oil supplement and a multivitamin. Of course, we started the probiotic when we started scd. Guest guest
Welcome to the group nassal00, > - do I stop all the supplement during the intro diet? Some people do this and gradually readd their supplements after the intro as needed. Others continue to take their supplements. If you want to check on the SCD legality of some supplements please see http://pecanbread.com/supplements.html > - The chicken soup recipe listed in the SCD website has carrots and > chicken, does this mean that she can eat pureed carrots as much as she > wants, and chicken as much as she want? Yes. > - The cooking time has to be 4 hours to make the food easier to > digest? It makes it easier to digest and pulls wonderful nutrients out of the bones into the broth of the chicken soup. > and if so what about the beef patty? Broiled beef patty is legal and you can eat as much as you like on the intro. > can feed her lamb? Broiled lamb patty would be fine. > - can I substitute the yogurt with nut milk yogurt, nut milk is listed > on stage 2 on " pecanbread " website so will I have to postpone it? Nut milk and nut milk yogurt are not on the intro diet but can be added after the intro diet is finished and you start to slowly add in new foods. > - If I give her scambled eggs, what is the best king of oil to use? A little olive oil, coconut oil or use a nonstick frying pan. Sheila, SCD Feb. 2001, UC 22yrs mom of and
