Guest guest
It is true that we may never get our old lives back, how they used to be, but if they can be much better than what they are now, that in itself is a blessing. We might not be as strong, or as healthy, as independent or pain free as we would like to be, but we will be able to live, and will live with the realisation of how precious life really is and know to never take anything for granted again. It can be taken from one in a single moment. We can also hold our heads high, for we know that each of us have helped play a part in the healing of the next person. For each of us have given a doctor somewhere insight into this disease that they have not seen before, or the belief that there ARE other reasons than the " norm " for suffering pancreatitis. They just need to dig deep into their knowledge and instincts and theories and our histories to find them. This illness has also helped to show how strong some family and friends can rally around each other to help and support us, or to free us from those who would only pull us further down so we can rise up to this illness and beat it with every inch of our souls.
