Guest guest
I am getting all my supplies and foods together to begin the intro diet with my son this weekend. I went to the Pecanbread site and looked at the ASD Intro diet. Here are some questions: 1. Carson can't eat carrots, and he is allergic to beef so he can't eat the homemade jello. I don't really see any other carbohydrates in the list of things to eat. I don't want to feed him just protein for 2 days, so what else can I add to the diet on the intro days? I was thinking of making some acorn squash pancakes or muffins using the sneaky veggie pancakes recipe. Would that be okay? 2. Is it okay to eat banana and cooked apple on the intro days? Apple and banana pancakes? 3. What are some strategies for getting the kids to eat the broth? Carson doesn't like to eat anything off a spoon, so I'm not sure how I'm going to get the broth down him. He doesn't like to drink anything out of his sippy cup except his juice. When I give him water I usually have to give it to him in his sister's " big kid " cup with a lid and a crazy straw - it makes it a lot more appealing to him. I guess I could try that with his broth.
