Guest guest
I have to agree with Flo regarding doing your homework before having surgery. I don't post a lot and I am only 2 weeks post op, but I know that the clos.net site was a big help. I also used obesityhelp.com which is where I found out about MGB to begin with. I did months of researching before deciding to go with MGB. My reasons for making the decision to have MGB instead of RNY were numerous. If you are a pre op trying to decide which surgery to have-please do your homework and make your own decision based on that. The clos.net site is an awesome tool, use it. This group is here for support and to answer questions about how we are feeling, how we dealt with things, etc. No one is here to tell you to have this surgery, not even Dr R. ALL surgeries have complications. NO surgery is 100% effective. This is such a huge, huge step in your life that will affect you forever. I guess we just can't stress enough that it is much better to go into any surgery with as much information as possible. Off the soapbox-anybody else?
