Regarding your bloating and fluid retention, I would not suggest diuretics as a

solution. They are supposed to be contradictary for anyone with chronc

pancreatitis. At least this is what my GI told me when I discussed my

occasional problems with edema caused by my diabetes. On occasion the

edema will cause my feet and ankles to swell, making it uncomfortable to

wear my shoes. My GI doc said under no circumstances would he prescribe

diuretics, and he told me to make sure that none of my other doctor's did, too.

Just thought I'd pass that info along. Fortunately, it's a rare occurance for

me.

With love, hope and prayers,

Heidi: Thanks for the info....I wasn't aware of diuretics being

contraindicated in cp....but I'm glad to know now. So, guess I'll

just keep drinking more water in hopes of getting rid of the excess

water...sounds kinda funny but I guess it does work. I guess I just

don't understand why the bloating/distension happens in the first

place? Is it just because your body sort of " knows " there's

inflammation going on somewhere? Anyway, thanks Heidi - you're

always a great help to me and I'm sure to others as well!

love
