Guest guest
Hi , I know that there are alot of different symptoms for celiac disease and some I have never had. You can look it up on the web (celiac.com, etc.) Alot of the symptoms are bloating, gas, diareah, constipation, weight loss, abdominal pain, depression, and the list goes on and on. Sounds alot like Cp amoung lots of other gastro. problems. The tests are simple (blood tests and biopsies of the small intestine). I don't know exactly what made Dr, Lehman check me for celiac but I think when he did the ERCP he happened to notice that my villa were flattened and so he checked further down the small intestine and found the all the villa were flattened and therefor he took bipsies. I was shocked that I had it because I pratically lived on bread, pasta, cereal, cookies, crackers, etc...and I never had any kind of allergic reaction when eating. Some people get real sick when they injest gluten and they only have very minimal damage and some people (like me) never show any signs, and have alot of damage. Wierd huh? You could always ask him about it when you have your appt. I'm sure he wouldn't mind answering a question about celiac. He's very open like that. He is willing to discuss whatever you ask about. That's one of his many good qualities. Good luck with your appt. Take care Kris in TN
