Getting Starband on Thursday

I'm new to this group and would like some advice for my daughter, Kate (8months)

who is getting fit with her Starband this coming Thursday. I'm very anxcious

about it and any advice about helping this be an easy transition for her would

be greatly appreciated. If anyone has tips for helping her get through the

adjustment period please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Kate,

It will surprise you how well and quickly your daughter will adjust to the band.

My daughter was the same age when she was banded and acted like nothing had

changed. Your daughter will be sweaty for the first few days but her body will

adjust to the new temperature and the sweating will decrease or go away. Your

daughter is probably starting to be mobile and, trust me, the band is a little

bit of a blessing. In learning to crawl, stand and walk, my daughter's band has

saved her from many a head bumps! As a mother, you will feel so much relief when

she is banded and on the road to a round head! Best of luck!
