Guest guest
I guess enzymes aren't measured in terms of mgs because they are not really a med? I'm assuming that if the CR-20 means something that it sounds alot lower than some of you are taking. BTW, I meant to mention to you all (maybe I did and have forgotten!!) that I go for the MRCP at my local hospital tomorrow and then am supposed to wait until 6/24 to go to the Lahey Clinic? Not to mention the fact that on the appointment itinerary I got in the mail yesterday that I'm supposed to be seeing a doc that isn't even in the gastroenterology dept? He's a doctor of General Internal Medicine..has anyone else experienced this sort of thing? I mean is it standard protocol (?!?) that I go see a general doc and then he refers me to the gastro guys there - kind of like establishing a baseline or something? I was under the impression that my gastro doc here was referring me for an ERCP w/manometry. However, it did say on the form that if there was surgery scheduled (would an ERCP w/manometry be considered a surgery?) that you had to call a separate number. At any rate, if I am having a relatively good day tomorrow (they are few and far between at this point).......I'm going to call my health care provider (Blue Cross) and talk to the customer relations dept. to make a complaint that this is moving waaaaayyyy to slow. I'm losing pay at my job, my mother has been helping us but that can't last forever. This is getting to be downright ridiculous!! Why can't they just check me in at the Lahey Clinic and leave me there until they figure out what this is? Why do they seem to think it is OK to leave a patient at home, self-medicating and in pain on a daily basis? There just seems something really odd about it to me. What do you guys think? Am I being too unrealistic thinking that they could at least schedule these appts. within days instead of weeks? Geez.....well sorry for venting that wasn't my intention but I'm looking to get a feel from you guys in terms of how long it took to REALLY get something concrete and then have a plan for it? thanks again to all
