Hi All

Regarding my son aged 13 and on SCD since august.

I am currently using Kirkman's EnZym- complete/DPP-IV it contains protease from

fruit

source.I believe this may be a problem for kids who are sensitive to phenols and

saliclytes .I

only realised that the protease might be a problem of late.

I have ordered Kirkman's no-phenol .is it ok to give them both together .as the

no phenol is

meant to help with digesting fruit and the other one helps with digesting

everything. should i

just use one with no protease.

Does cooking the pineapple affect the enzymes in it?

Regards

Niall

I honestly don't know the answer to your question.

That is really not an SCD issue... might be better to ask over at the

enzymesandautism list.

Cooking anything above 118 degrees kills the enzymes.
