In my case it took only about a week for full recovery from a really bad ear flare. But they started me out on 80 mg of pred. I would definately consult your dr and tell him you are no better. There is no need to suffer. Remember, that the longer you flare the more damage is done. Get those ears back to normal and when they are then I would try tapering down slowly on the pred. If the flare comes back then I would ask your doctor about adding another medication such as metho or Imuran or something. This is just my opinion. Please check with your dr asap Dan.
