Guest guest
Hello Kimber and welcome back! I did look at the Medic Alert website on the day the posts first appeared and then......forgot about it again! I wil find out more. I meant to ask the consultant last Wednesday but in the midst of all the other stuff it got lost! I did tell him I'd like a short summary of my condition to have on me at all times with a translation for when I'm abroad. We got side-tracked into discussing my fears about what could happen unexpectedly and we got so involved that we never came to the original question which was going to lead on to Medic Alert!! He was able to assure me that some of my fears were unfounded. That was good but he threw me again by saying that I ought to consider the TP over the next couple of years. (This is because my particular case gives me a very high cancer risk.) You can imagine that this took my mind off other matters for a while. He wasn't my usual Prof who was actually in theatre on Wed. I'm going to make an appointment with him as soon as I can and I'll ask all the relevant questions. The doctor I saw on Wed. was very nice and very informative on a range of issues but I've tended to develop a sort of dependence on Prof Neoptolemos whom I usually see so I don't feel quite reassured unless I've spoken to him specifically! I hope you're feeling re-energised and re-created after your holiday. Take care, Fliss (UK)
