I could be wrong on this and please anyone...please correct me if i'm wrong.

According to Karin Harps article, she states " Various studies find

circulating antibodies to cartilage-specific collagens types II, IX, and XI

to be preseent in 25-70% of patients with RP; Buckner found thesee antibodies

in 50% of a panel of more than 100 patients. Foidoart and colleagues found

that antibodies to type II collagen are present during acute RP episodes. "

" Other cartilage -specific autoantibodies have been described in patients

with RP. Antigens include collagen types IX and XI and the matrix protein

matrilin-1. "

Thanks , you're always there with the answers. By the way, did you

hear anything about your upcoming surgery? Love, Sharon

>>

Sharon, I called my cardiologist back and got his asst. She said she gave

him the message on Monday. Said he was in the clinic all day today and

wouldn't be calling back today. She would leave another message. Then she

connected me to the surgeon. Yes...right to his direct line. He answered.

He wasn't happy to get a call from me on his direct line. LOL He said he

didn't have enough information about my case, but had all my paper work on

his desk. I asked if we could set up an appt for a phone consult because I

didn't want to sit at home for weeks and then miss his call. He told me to

call his asst. I did and of course I got voice mail. Geez...... I just

don't understand drs. My dr said this would be done itn 2-3 weeks and it is

already 3 weeks and I haven't even consulted with the surgeon. He is so

busy, can't get me in for an eye to eye appt. Maybe I need another surgeon.

LOL

I will keep you all up to date as I hear. But don't be holding your breathe.

LOL

hugs
