Guest guest
Hello Friends, After months of behaving itself my pancreas decided to let loose last Tuesday. I really had forgotten how horrible this disease is, I guess I should consider myself lucky that it was in " hiding " for the months. Last Tuesday was also the day that I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes in my 12 week of pregnancy. So now I am trying to balance my attack, my blood sugars and making sure my unborn child is being properly fed....not an easy job. It wouldn't be so bad if my pancreas wasn't acting up but since it is eating is not what I want to be doing. But for my childs sake I have to. Any suggestions on how I can still properly nourish my baby and not cause anymore stress on the panc? It almost seems hopeless because any food right now is causing pain. To top it all off I am worried about what the pain pills are doing to my baby. My perinatologist is totally aware of my situation and fully supports the use of my meds, but still I am feeling a bit guilty. I know a lot of you are balancing CP and diabetes. Anyone every balanced CP, diabetes and pregnancy? Any advice from ANYONE?? Thanks Marisa~San Diego, CA
