Guest guest
I was thinking about you just last night. How much you have gone through. How you were able to return to work so strong and full of vigor. You inspire me. I hope that things are still well with you. What happened with the promotion you were so over due? Are you still working full time? I was doing alot better before the drain got infected. That is quite a set back and now it appears I have something going on where the peg was placed; and it aint superficial. I am starting to get some withdrawel symptoms from the demerol; these are a drag. I try to tell myself to have faith. There is a greater plan. Maybe it is time for me to move on,; but I couldn't imagine an easier and more enjoyable position then the one I have. I really love that job. Well they told me I had until june 22 with a possible 30 day extension after that. Then my job would be gone; I would have used up every ounce/cc of FMLA job protection I have. The only way I could retain my position after that would be if they just held it open for me out of kindness and love and MUSC is way too large an institiion to do that. I dont know if I can return in a reduced capacity for a while or not. Well time will tell. I hope you and Dave are having a wonderful life and know that you do inspire me. Guest guest
Hi Rupesh, I'm very sorry, i didn't wish to cause you any anxiety. I'm not sure what you could be allergic to that would cause the symptoms that you describe. Obviously it is difficult to try and diagnose someones health problems over the internet. I would try the treatment that your doctors have suggested, and if you still have the symptoms, then you need to go back to your doctor. I hope you're feeling better soon. Best wishes, Sue
Guest guest
Hi Sue, Sorry to hear about the mild pain you have been experiencing with your jaw. Any idea what may be causing it? Just follow your OS advice and rest it!! I had sinus surgery a few years back. I didn't have much pain after surgery, just mainly discomfort of being congested. When I woke up after surgery I had quite a bit of coughing that kind of scared me. The nurse told me that sinus surgery has quite a bit of bleeding with it which was why I was probably coughing so much. My nose was numb for about 2 to 3 months after the surgery. I did run a low grade fever for about 2 weeks after the surgery which my surgeon stated was normal for sinus surgery. Good Luck to You and I am sure after having jaw surgery, sinus surgery should be a breeze! > Hi all > > Haven't communicated for a while but keep an eye on posts. > > Just over one year post op now.
