My Consultant, who is a leading expert in conditions of the pancreas (Prof Neoptolemos from the Royal Liverpool Hospital, UK), does not believe in restricting fat in the diet. He is of the opinion that, by doing so, you are depriving the body of fat soluble vitamins and other nutrients, in a condition where absorption is already a problem. Prof Neoptolemos promotes taking a healthy diet, and adjusting pancreatic enzymes, accordingly.
